About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional candidate with a strong grounding of technical skills and technical account management. You’d be working with our customers to help them get deployed, be the Signal Sciences subject matter expert, and ensure customer satisfaction. As part of this role, you’d be working very closely with our Sales teams to identify new opportunities, raise technical challenges, and build relationships with customers. Additionally, you’d work with our engineering and PM teams to champion our customer requirements internally. Our team is a collection of highly skilled individuals who believe in collaboration and solving challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical relationship with assigned accounts
  • Work with our customers to deploy our software in their environment
  • Track project status in our project management tools
  • Work on internal PS projects as assigned
  • Work with the Sales team to identify potential upsell opportunities
  • Work with our Engineering team to champion customer requirements
  • Provide training to customers
  • Travel as needed for customer engagements, typically 0-25% of the time

About You

  • You’re a self-starter with a proven track record of success on projects you have worked on
  • You have the ability to understand and scope out requirements for technical projects on customer engagements
  • You’re highly data-driven with a commitment to process. You know success has to be measured, and you work best with well defined goals
  • You love working in teams, and your teams love working with you
  • You’re comfortable with the rapid, unpredictable nature of a tech startup

Qualifications

  • Experience with some or all the following foundational technologies: SaaS/Cloud or hybrid cloud deployments; Apache/NGINX/IIS or other web server platforms and associated Application server technologies and frameworks
  • Unix/Linux or Windows systems administration
  • Scripting ability withy any of the following: Python, Java, Go, PHP, Unix/Linux Shell, C#, or other common Web languages
  • A creative, out of the box thinker
  • Willing to work on many different projects
  • Strong skills and experience with Linux/Unix
  • Ability to troubleshoot software products

Nice to have

  • HTTP protocol experience: We protect all types of web servers, so everything we work with will involve HTTP protocol
  • Docker experience: Many of our customers are using Docker and the orchestration tools around it in their environment
  • Kubernetes know-how: Kubernetes is now being used everywhere, and we always like to have more in-house knowledge
  • Systems Config Management: Ways to make it easier to deploy our software into customer environments is very helpful
  • Coding background in any language
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
