Summary

Signal Sciences is looking for a highly effective Director or Sr. Director of Channel Marketing to lead our channel, partner, global system integrator (GSI) and field go-to-market (GTM) programs and execution.

Reporting to our VP of Marketing, you will have deep experience in channel development and field programs that directly drive pipeline. You will build and lead a team of Field and Channel Marketing Managers whose accountability is to develop, manage, land and execute programs, events and campaigns to drive Partner led leads (“Sourced pipeline”), Partner led revenue (“ARR”) and field pipeline. The scope of role will include both owning and managing our marketing relationships, campaigns and activities with and through Signal Sciences Partners. In this role, you and your team will partner closely with field sales managers, channel sales managers, digital marketing and product marketing.

Our ideal candidate is an energetic, creative team player who has experience in account based sales and marketing and integrated “through the channel” programs and “to the channel” communication and programs. The candidate will also have experience in translating product, solution and corporate marketing into field and channel programs that answer the question, “Why should a sales rep or channel rep, care?”

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, create and execute innovative and integrated field and channel marketing programs for all routes to market with identified partners including events, digital marketing, social media, field marketing, content syndication, etc.
  • Provide strategic marketing direction by engaging with partners to understand business objectives and the ability to use that insight to build and execute marketing plans and strategies focused on qualified pipeline creation
  • Translate current marketing initiatives into integrated channel programs that highlight our compelling value proposition
  • Engage resellers’ customers and build awareness for Signal Sciences, generate qualified leads, and drive new business
  • Monitor, analyze and report performance against forecasts and past performance. Leverage results to increase success of future marketing programs.
  • Manage the field and channel marketing team to execute, measure and host field and partner-facing program and events that drive pipeline
  • Own digital and data analytics for Channel Marketing for use in program creation and which can be surfaced at executive level, peer meetings, and industry events
  • Build strong relationships with field sales and channel partners’ marketing leadership
  • Improve channel partner sales teams’ functionality by developing enablement tools and effective communication methods Forecast and manage the field and channel marketing program’s budget and market development funds

Qualities / Experience we’re seeking

  • Cyber Security. Identity Management experience and/or experience in sales is a major plus.
  • VAR and Distributor partner experience is critical Field marketing experience driving successful national, international and regional events is critical
  • Experience in strategic integrated marketing planning and the ability to create programs that return desired results
  • Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills Self-directed and able to translate directives into useful tactics and meaningful activities
  • Must have exceptional content and program creation skills. Translating corporate and product messaging into sales and channel value propositions is critical.
  • Strong social abilities to act as company spokesperson, executive presenter and team representative with field and channel
  • Highly motivated, extremely organized, with a proven track record in expanding channel marketing success
  • Experience creating and managing budgets, calculating ROI and explaining performance of managed programs
